Animal Lover Series

I believe personal projects are the key to a designer's sanity. It was due time to get back into some digital illustrations, so, in the spirit of spring, I decided to make a series of animals in love. The project was inspired by my brother and sister-in-law's bunnies, Tupelo & Chewy. The bunnies act more like an old married couple than honeymooners, but they're still clearly infatuated with one another. In my illustration, they're encircled with blooming flowers, trickling vines and butterflies.

HGTV Mention

I was traveling through Vietnam when I got a notification on Instagram. My friend had tagged me in a photo of an HGTV magazine spread from their April issue. It took me a half a second to realize that my Watercolor Burst rug was one of the featured items! Since that issue, my sales of that design have skyrocketed. Thanks for the love, HGTV!

Earth Day with Tinselbox

I'm thrilled to be Tinselbox's featured artist this month! Tinselbox is a subscription service that sends out hand-curated gift boxes every month. I partnered up with them to celebrate Earth Day– their April box includes my "Treat Yo Self" reusable tote bag, printed locally in KC by screenprinting superstars Seen Merch. Their monthly packages are chock-full of artisanal goodies and surprises. In addition to my "Treat Yo Self" tote bag, this month's box included die cut seed boxes (chives, mint and tomatoes) + starter pots, a journal made from a repurposed library book, and Earth Day stationery. Definitely a good haul!
